Each year, army reserve officers from every walk of life go through soldiery experiences during their two-week annual training. An active-duty officer assigned to such training was having trouble getting a lesson across to a reservist.
“Look,” the officer said, “it doesn’t take a rocket scientist to get this right.” The reservist looked straight at the officer and replied, “But I am a rocket scientist!”
해마다 각계각층의 예비역 장교들은 군대에 가서 2주간의 훈련을 통해 군대 경험을 한다. 그런 훈련을 담당하고 있는 한 현역 장교는 예비역 장교 가운데 한 사람이 말귀를 알아 듣지 못하는 바람에 고전을 해야 했다.
“이봐요, 이건 로켓 과학자까지 안 돼도 알 수 있는 거잖아요”라고 그 장교가 예비역을 보고 말했다. 그러자 그 예비역은 장교를 똑바로 바라보면서 대답하는 것이었다. “아니, 내가 로켓 과학자라고요!”
