The 60th U.S. Presidential Inauguration 2025

The four-day festivities from January 18 through January 21 were over as the second inaugural celebrations of U.S. President Donald J. Trump. It was officially the 60th of its kind, broadcast to the 8.2 billion current human population, reflecting some comparable bygone features and expecting contemporary and upcoming pending issues involved with his new term of U.S. presidency. The 2025 inauguration celebrations opened Trump‘s dramatic return to the White House and American people’s decisive votes to MAGA (make America great again) and Trump-nomics.
The second-time president is recognized as having the unchallenged U.S. dominance in the Western Hemisphere (WH), vowing to reassert U.S. control over Greenland for security purposes, the Panama Canal by military means, and even the vast Canada as the 51st U.S. state, if granted. Such ambitious schemes sound like the revival of the Monroe Doctrine in 1823, a best-known U.S. policy toward the WH proclaimed by James Monroe (5th & 6th from 1817 to 1825), the last founding-father president of the U.S.
The phenomenon of his non-consecutive re-inauguration for a U.S. president (45th in 2017 & 47th this year) convened inside the U.S. Capitol Rotunda due to the freezing weather (since 1985) was carried out just once back to 135 years ago in the case of President Grover Cleveland (22nd in 1882 & 24th in 1890). Trump is recognized as the tariff-imposing, subsidy-cut advocate in international trade transactions, whereas President William McKinley (25th from 1897 to 1901) was closely identified as a decisive leader, who first put America on the road to world power, insisting a protective tariff and a high tax on imported goods. Trump’s right-side ear was wounded by the assassin’s gunshot during his 88022 election campaign in Butler, Pennsylvania in July last year, while McKinley was assassinated in Buffalo, New York during September 1901 as the first chief executive American president in the 20th century.
On the freezing inaugural Blue Monday, January 20, Trump and the first lady Melania moved back to the White House after the formal swearing-in at St. John’s Church, Lafayette Square. Trump is the only president in the U.S. history whose presidential race rivals were female Democrats: Hillary Clinton in 2017 and Kamala Harris in 2024. Both of them by chance attended Trump’s returning ceremony as two compulsory formal invitees.
The whole world is now looking forward to peace and strength under the robust Trump storm of the just-inaugurated U.S. presidency. Trump’s priority pledges and obligations at stake need to be picked up as the ceasefire-hostage deals both of the Israel-Hamas war (now under progress from the inauguration eve), and the Russian invasion of Ukraine, in which 12,000 North Korean troops are joining. North Korea’s continued building up of their arsenal of nuclear bombs and ballistic missiles causing threats to Asia and the Indo-Pacific should be thoroughly marked by the Trump administration in unison with his old friend, Kim Jong-un, the so-called ‘little rocket man.’
Trump’s declaration of ‘near to 100’ executive orders and actions on day one is quite aggressive. The tough crackdown on immigration, the restoration of the TikTok service in the U.S., the launching of rival memecoins, and the within-100-day opening dialogue with Beijing’s top leader Xi Jin-ping are impressively worthy of note. The 60th presidential inauguration at indoor Capitol One Arena with Michelle Obama’s absence, was a milestone to exercise MAGA and Trump-nomics in the formidable direction aiming at the wishful global stability and innovation in the diverse realms of human lives in the spirit of unity and justice looking to the uncertain better future years to come.
